Job Description

The Mechanic position is responsible for the following:

• Mechanical background preferred
• Experience with commercial trucks, oil change, break jobs, etc.
• General maintenance of commercial vehicles
• Painting
• Running for parts, picking up trucks, drivers, etc.
• Any positions needed in the garage
• Have their own tools

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, Clean Driver’s record, and reliable transportation
• CDL Preferred
• Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing

Competencies:

• Communication
• Technical and mechanical skills
• Capable of working independently

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; push; pull; climb; crawl; kneel; lift; utilize company-provided equipment; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Required to be able to lift and move heavy items like tires, rims, and parts. Some job functions will be performed outdoors and expose the employee to changing weather conditions.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position and regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.in addition to weekends on an as-needed basis with the ability to work outside of or in addition to those hours as needed.

Travel:

Must be willing to travel. Travel expectation outside of the local area can vary.
