At Picnic we have a fleet of 1800 vehicles (EPV’s as we call them) bring groceries to 45.000 families each day. As a Mechanic at Picnic you have a direct impact on making sure this is possible. We are the supermarket on wheels and you make sure it stays that way!
Our vehicles are electric, but our mechanics are very practical! We don’t use a laptop to find the issue; we identify it ourselves. Unlike many modern vehicles, our vehicle still requires real hands-on work. Our EPVs are practical delivery vehicles that are used intensively every day, which means craftsmanship, mechanical knowledge and problem-solving are still big parts of the job.
You’ll be working on the Goupil G4 and G6: compact delivery vehicles that may look small, but work tirelessly every day to get groceries to our customers. These are vehicles with character, and our experienced mechanics ensure they are up and running each day.
Problem solving: Troubleshooting issues with our vehicles and fixing them yourself.
Independence: Drive your own route everyday and set up shop at our hubs from your mobile service van.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the Netherlands to ensure our vehicles are ready to deliver groceries to our customers.
Ownership: You’ll carry out maintenance and repairs on site, repair cargo boxes where necessary, perform your own final checks, and keep your paperwork in order.
You have completed MBO level 2,3,4 in an Automotive-related study or comparable work experience
You are fluent English, fluency in Dutch also is preferred
You are in possession of a category B driving license
You have 3+ years of practical experience as a mechanic in a workshop or similar
