What does Brice Equipment LLC do?

Brice Equipment provides electrical, mechanical, and equipment services to support oil, gas, and construction operations throughout Alaska. Our fleet includes 400+ pieces of equipment designed for extreme environments, ranging from heavy construction machinery to mobile support equipment. What can you expect?

As the Mechanic, you will work onsite in Prudhoe Bay, AK and will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all types of construction machinery with minimal assistance. You will perform a variety of skilled duties which may involve inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of heavy construction equipment.

How will you do it?

  • Repair, diagnose, and maintain all types of construction machinery.
  • Perform welds/cuts and fabrication as needed.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical generator.
  • Operate heavy power equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure machines comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Maintain accurate and complete work records.
  • Train new mechanics as assigned.
  • Work in a rotational schedule 3 weeks on 3 weeks off.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Knowledge in all aspects of construction equipment repair and maintenance.

Who is Brice Equipment LLC looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience as a Construction Equipment Mechanic required.
  • Current Class A CDL license required.
  • Current NSTC certification required or obtain upon date of hire.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule of 3 weeks on 3 weeks off.
  • Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company’s Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass a drug, driving and background screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years’ previous experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years’ previous experience working in Prudhoe Bay/North Slope preferred.
  • Vocational training in equipment mechanic or related field preferred.

Working Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud due to the running of various machines. Much of the work will be conducted outdoors. The position itself requires the ability to work a rotating schedule on the North Slope, three weeks on and three weeks off.
