Dematic is actively looking for a Mechanic 2 to join our manufacturing team in Salt Lake City!

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $23 - $32 per hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You will Do in This Role:

  • Carry out semi-complex mechanical duties related to both sub-assemblies and final product preparation for testing.

  • Assist in the loading and shipping processes involved with the final product.

  • Interpret blueprints and schematics, recommending engineering changes as necessary.

  • Help with the set-up procedures necessary for functional testing of the product.

What We are Looking For:

  • High School diploma required. Associate's degree or equivalent experience / certification preferred.

  • Effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to tackle them in situations where the problem is more difficult and complex.

  • Operate forklifts and cranes as the need arises.

  • Prepare and load final products for shipment.

  • Ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, and the like, with the ability to reach up to 120 ft.

  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.

  • Work in areas subject to hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and chemicals.

  • Support the installation of products, involving 25%-30% or more travel with minimal or no advance warning.
