Location: Vanderhoof, BC

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Meat Cutter to ensure that the meat area of our supermarket is well-maintained and running efficiently.

Reporting to the Meat Manager you will be responsible for the following:

• Demonstrating Four Rivers Co-operative’s values of Responsibility, Integrity,Service, and Excellence
• Working co-operatively with team members who deliver excellent service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here”
• Cutting, slicing, preparing, and wrapping meat
• Stocking shelves, rotating, and facing products, building displays
• Ensuring that high standards are maintained
• Maintaining sanitation standards by following Food Safe protocol
• Keeping sales floor organized and clean
• General housekeeping duties

What you bring:

• Meat cutting experience is considered an asset

• Knowledge of food safe handling practices and sanitation protocols

• Must be willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment on a daily basis

• Adaptable, organized, efficient and committed

• Be a team member with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands

• A commitment to quality and an eye for detail

• Appropriate computer skills and technical knowledge

• Able to lift up to 50lbs as required

• Retail experience in a similar position would be considered an asset
