What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Meat Department Manager, as a Meat Cutter, you will support daily meat department operations while providing friendly, helpful service to customers. You will:

• Provide an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation.
• Adhere to all company, industry, and governmental policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
• Be responsible for ordering and preparation of meat, fish and seafood including cleaning, cutting/filleting/trimming, displaying, and pricing.
• Be responsible and efficient in the use of knives and other carving tools and equipment.
• Fill and rotate frozen and processed stock following FIFO procedures as well as complete all necessary charts and logs (ex. grinder logs and temperature logs).
• Ensure all areas of responsibility are safe, organized, and clean.
• Monitor refrigeration temperature to ensure compliance with all food safety standards and guidelines.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, assist team members when necessary, and any other duties as assigned.

• You have a Journeyman Meat Cutter certificate and/or relevant work experience.
