  • Manage the validation, integration and feasibility of the electric electronic component launches or the complete launch of new products and the introduction of new functions. As well as the continuous improvement in the production series.
  • Lead the root cause analysis of pre-series and production vehicles, including the full analysis of electric electronic vehicles and test activities (dynamic and static tests).
  • Root cause analysis documenting the electric electronic problems, including a presentation of the defects and its problem resolution.
  • Innovate with new methods or processes for validation and testing of the technical content and stablish best practices with the global network partners.
  • Develop and provide a testing plan, according to the launch phase.
  • Carry out the testing plan as new hardware or software is introduced or when a new level of maturity is required.
  • Represent the department within the global operations teams from different plants
  • Evaluate the solutions proposed by the suppliers or developers, from the prototype phase until final solution. Verify the design changes made to the software and hardware.
  • Collaborate with the internal partners to warranty the production of new products or engineering changes according to quality requirements.
  • Provide technical orientation specialized on electric electronic engineering knowledge.
  • Compliance with Quality Management Systems through training.
  • Install the sensors (microphones, accelerometers, displacement, speed, wind speed, revolution, temperature sensors) according to the required. measurement. Warranty BUS connectivity with the vehicle (CAN, LIN, CAND, FD).
  • Install and configure the measurement equipment to obtain the data required for the purpose of the test.
  • Test drive the vehicle in specific roads or in climatic chambers.
  • Disassemble the measurement equipment to return the vehicle to its original state.
  • Analyze the data and prepare reports (in English or German) according to the client´s standard.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Systems, Electric, Electronic Engineering and/or related field
  • 1 + years of experience working in the automotive industry, using measurement techniques and data acquisition.
  • 1 + years working with measurement equipment such as data loggers. and doing analysis.
  • Experience doing the instrumentation of the vehicle, knowledge of sensors, transductors and data logging systems. Knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • English fluent.
  • German desirable.
  • 12 month contract
