We are currently looking for a Measurement Spec/Sr. Measurement Spec for our Dillsboro, IN location.
This position is responsible for the calibration, gas sampling, testing, operation, and maintenance of measurement facilities in assigned area, and likely to provide support in adjacent areas, along with project support. These facilities include positive displacement, turbine, rotary, ultrasonic, and orifice meters; flow computers; samplers; communication devices; regulators; relief valves; valves and actuators; transmitters; gas quality monitoring systems; and automated tank gauging equipment. The role is responsible for over-protection systems, maintaining and inspecting valves, flow control valves, pressure control valves, valve actuators, and remote capabilities to various types of equipment and maintaining gas conditioning equipment and various analyzers.
The position is also responsible for environmental, health, safety, and reliability support for natural gas transmission, including recognizing and reporting abnormal and safety-related operating conditions, accident and near-miss reporting, emergency response, regulatory compliance activities, and equipment repair. This role requires participation in emergency and abnormal condition callouts for assigned area.
This position will be located at our Dillsboro, IN Compressor Station. Normal work hours for this position are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. weekdays but are subject to change; however, this position is subject to occasional call-out and schedule adjustments, as necessary.
This position's primary area of responsibility will be at Dillsboro, IN Compressor Station, and successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 miles of this facility.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
• 2 to 5 years of pipeline and measurement operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical / oil industry experience
• Strong mechanical and electronic aptitude
• Strong safety culture
• Strong computer and data process skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Valve O&M experience
• Organization and record keeping ability
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet, the ability to work in extreme weather conditions, and the ability to stand for long durations
• Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to pass auditory and optic exams
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
• 4+ years of gas measurement or I&E operations and maintenance experience
• Natural gas measurement experience
• Working knowledge of DOT 192 is preferred
• Chromatograph O&M proficiency
• Control valve and OPP O&M experience
• Associate degree or Certificate of Completion in Electrical or Electronics Technology from an Institution
• Accredited by one of the National Regional Accrediting Bodies.
