Job Description

Education:

  • High School (Minimum or Equivalent)
  • Associates Process Instrumentation or equivalent preferred

Minimum Required Experience:*

  • Minimum 2 years of related type field experience with associated training
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Technical experience with industrial measurement process instrumentation is required, basic electrical knowledge and industrial electrical wiring experience is needed, troubleshooting skills are necessary, moderate computer skills are required, and logic programming skills are desired.
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas well pad and processing plant equipment and processes.
  • Working as self-directed field worker

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This job is demanding in terms of knowledge, skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. It requires the handling of multiple tasks with many unexpected interruptions. The job calls for the responsiveness and energy to work long hours and cover a wide scope without letting up on the pace. While training in certain, specific equipment is offered, the successful candidate must be diligent in learning on their own from time to time.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
  • This involves analyzing requirements for field installation, scheduling and coordinating work with customers and other contractors, job preparation of required materials and tools, installing mounting hardware, process instrumentation and valves/chokes, wiring, junction boxes, flow meters/tubes/computers, solar panels/batteries, and radio/cellular communications equipment at many different remote gas well sites in the field.
  • Knowledge of Gas Chromatograph and Ultrasonic Meter equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Flow Computer, RTU, and PLC equipment.
  • The individual must remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
  • The job requires driving to/from customer industrial sites on a daily basis.
  • The individual must demonstrate and maintain the mental acuity required to complete assigned duties in an efficient, timely, safe and productive manner.
  • The individual must be able to maintain composure and productivity while handling multiple tasks.
  • The individual must be mature, be able to make sound decisions, and be able to exercise independent judgement and discretion in the best interests of the company and the end customer.
  • The individual must behave and be able to interact with customers, vendors, contractors, and employees at all levels within the organization in a professional, business-like manner, while treating all such individuals with dignity and respect.
  • It requires the individual to efficiently handle technical problems while maintaining a professional and positive relationship with the customer, supervisors, and co-workers.

  • The typical working environment is outdoors at remote well sites and the individual must be able to work outdoors in ALL types of weather conditions when necessary.
