The Measurement Analyst role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of system‑level measurement data. This position applies strong analytical judgment and business acumen to support effective measurement processes, financial accuracy, and operational decision‑making. The schedule is Hybrid, working from the Houston office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and home on Wednesday, Friday. Must live in the Houston area.

Job Profile Summary

Performs duties related to inputting, analyzing, verifying, and maintaining measurement data and generating related system reports.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Utilize appropriate tools to research, compile, verify, and/or prepare information including but not limited to:

    • Missing Data

    • Over/short and fuel loss & unaccounted reports

    • Volume statements

    • Measurement station and meter master files

    • Meter imports

    • Third party volume entry and verification reports

  • NGL Product Accounting (As specified by position.)

    • Timely and accurate daily publish in NGL field product accounting system

    • Troubleshoot NGL field product accounting system, data accuracy and performance issues

    • Accurate and timely reporting

    • Accurate and timely communication of issues

  • Compile and prepare required information and documentation

  • Oversee report scheduler for generating customer information in measurement system

  • Transfer files to storage areas

  • Assist with entering additional data regarding measurement issues

  • Provide information and assistance to producers, large-volume customers, employees, and others including but not limited to:

    • Measurement corrections/discrepancies

    • Meter information (On/off reads, meter run, fittings)

    • Verification of volumes

  • Analyze various types of measurement data to resolve discrepancies, maintain integrity of records, and verify volumes

Education

  • College level mathematics, physical science, physics, chemistry, computer science or technology courses or equivalent job-related experience

Work Experience

  • Experience in use and function of office equipment applicable to position including enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications, computers, and calculators

  • Experience and training related to:

    • Gas measurement computer applications such as FlowCal

    • Microsoft applications including Excel and Word

    • Measurement station and meter master files

    • Bookkeeping

  • Experience reading and interpreting information from various statements, contracts, agreements, reports, and printouts

  • Experience compiling and preparing information including spreadsheets, system reports, and routine correspondence

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of: all gas measurement functions including metering and chart processing

  • Ability to: apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Includes application of decimals and percentages

  • Ability to: apply company accounting functions, policies, and procedures

  • Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information and instructions
