  • Seeking a System Administrator to support the implementation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems and infrastructure
  • The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administration, monitoring, problem resolution, and escalation support across client/server, storage, network, and operating system environments
  • This role also requires experience with DevOps and cloud infrastructure automation using Ansible, AWS, and Terraform

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems and supporting infrastructure
  • Manage system infrastructure and operational processes associated with enterprise IT environments
  • Monitor and support client/server systems, storage platforms, network devices, mobile devices, and related technologies
  • Provide Tier 1 Help Desk and Tier 2 escalation support, including problem identification, diagnosis, resolution, and documentation
  • Escalate technical issues as required and communicate status to agency management and internal customers
  • Support dispatch and resolution of hardware and system problems and remain engaged through problem closure
  • Configure, administer, and maintain UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Install and load operating system software, patches, and updates
  • Troubleshoot operating system, application, hardware, storage, and network-related issues
  • Maintain system integrity, reliability, availability, and performance
  • Configure and maintain network components and associated system interfaces
  • Implement operating system and infrastructure enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Develop and maintain automated configuration and deployment processes using Ansible
  • Support AWS cloud infrastructure and services
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform
  • Support system monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis
  • Maintain system documentation, configuration records, operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Collaborate with systems, network, cybersecurity, software, and mission teams to resolve technical issues

Required Qualifications

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Demonstrated experience administering and supporting enterprise IT systems
  • Experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems
  • Experience troubleshooting client/server, storage, network, and hardware environments
  • Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support
  • Experience with system monitoring, problem diagnosis, escalation, and resolution
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management and DevOps automation
  • Experience supporting AWS environments
  • Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-support skills
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I or higher compliance is required

  • Experience supporting highly available or mission-critical systems

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
