  • Seeking a Senior Software Integration Engineer with proven experience designing, building, debugging, and maintaining Java- and Python-based integration services in AWS
  • The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of integration components, from design and development through production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and maintain Java- and Python-based services and API-centric applications.
  • Build and support cloud-native integration components in AWS
  • Perform systematic root cause analysis and break complex issues into reproducible steps
  • Troubleshoot production issues across Java and Python codebases
  • Support production monitoring, incident response, and an on-call rotation
  • Develop and maintain services using AWS capabilities such as Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, and DynamoDB
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for integration components from initial design through production operations
  • Review merge requests and provide clear, constructive technical feedback
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and cross-domain stakeholders
  • Document technical findings, defects, resolutions, and operational procedures
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and other recurring ceremonies

Required Qualifications

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • At least nine (9) years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • Strong hands-on software development experience using Java and Python
  • Experience developing integration-focused or API-centric software products
  • Direct experience building and maintaining production services in AWS
  • Experience with AWS services including Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, and DynamoDB
  • Experience with production monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Ability to perform systematic root cause analysis and clearly communicate findings
  • Ability to work effectively within technical teams and across organizational or system domains
  • Experience reviewing merge requests and providing constructive technical feedback
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of integration components throughout the full lifecycle
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to debug complex, cross-language Java and Python codebases under time-sensitive production conditions
  • Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical production systems
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with regular sprint ceremonies and backlog grooming
  • Strong understanding of API integration patterns, distributed services, and cloud-based system integration

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
