  • Seeking a Protocol Analyst responsible for analyzing and interpreting signal and network protocols to identify, characterize, and model signal behavior across complex environments
  • This role requires strong expertise in networking, protocol analysis, and signal characterization, with the ability to derive structure and parameters from observed data
  • The analyst supports mission operations through advanced analysis of RF and network-based signals, contributing to intelligence production and technical discovery efforts

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze signal characteristics to determine protocol structure, parameters, and communication patterns
  • Perform protocol analysis and reverse engineering to model signal and network behavior
  • Conduct network and protocol analysis to identify anomalies, signatures, and patterns of interest
  • Perform RF signal analysis to support characterization and understanding of signal environments
  • Develop models and signatures to describe and track signal behavior across systems
  • Support analysis across SIGINT disciplines, including COMINT, ELINT, FISINT, and PROFORMA reporting
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and mission partners to refine analytic techniques and outputs
  • Contribute to research and development efforts, applying innovative approaches to protocol and signal analysis
  • Document findings, methodologies, and technical assessments

Required Qualifications

  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)
  • Master’s Degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position
  • Degree must be in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, a Physical Science, or a related technical field
  • Strong demonstrated experience with networking and protocol analysis
  • Ability to analyze and interpret signal characteristics and protocol behavior
  • Experience modeling signal signatures and communication patterns
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with RF signal analysis
  • Experience in one or more SIGINT disciplines: Communications Intelligence (COMINT), Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), Foreign Instrumentation Signals Intelligence (FISINT), or PROFORMA reporting
  • Background in research and development (R&D) or innovation-focused environments
  • Familiarity with weapons systems, space-based systems, or related domains

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
