Function: Factory Engineering (CA)

Title: ME, WELDING - 121382

Your Position:

Major Purpose

Plans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operates in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fullment process. At this level, projects are of limited scope and responsibility; work plans and decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel and contractors.

Duties

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects impacting safety, quality, efficiency, cost, and ergonomic improvements for welding process.
  • Establish and continuous improvement welding process routings, SOE, layout, tooling, OMS for PDP projects and currents operations.
  • Provides support and troubleshooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyzes data and implement solutions.
  • Support capacity planning and productivity improvement activities in weld department.

Required

  • Welding Engineering or Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of process and industrial engineering practices, systems, and tools.
  • Knowledge of welding manufacturing processes, tooling, fixture design.
  • Be able to read welding print and familiar with GD&T。
  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools, such as (Creo, AutoCAD).

Desired

  • Good knowledge and experience of arc welding and welding related defects.
  • Be able to summarize and analyze the production data and resolve production issues on site.
  • Skillfully use a variety of office software such as office and AutoCAD & Creo.
  • Be able to develop welding technical processes, welding fixture concept design, material flow optimization etc.
  • Strong sense of 5S & IE and Lean, quality management or team management skill is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, Major in mechanical engineering or welding engineering.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a Welding Engineer role within the construction machinery industry.
  • Fluent English ability in speaking, writing, reading and listening.
