Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an ambitious M&E Estimator for an exciting opportunity to join our valued client at the beginning of an exciting period of rapid expansion into the UK Data Centre market.

Our client is a leading international provider of Mechanical and electrical engineering solutions in Energy, Power, Renewables, and Data Centres. They have a significant and longstanding presence in Ireland and various European countries.

Our client is commencing an ambitious expansion plan into the UK. Its goal is to grow its presence over the next 5-10 years and establish itself as a dominant player in the UK Data Centre construction market.

As an M&E Estimator, you will be joining the business at a pivotal time, with an existing portfolio of projects having already been bid, and in the final stages, the successful Estimator will bring their expertise into a new UK team to drive further work winning efforts as well as contribute to existing bids and tenders.

Our client is ideally seeking candidates who have experience working on-site and understand how projects are delivered and the nuances/issues that can be encountered in delivering large Data Centre and similar complex industrial/commercial projects. Having worked ‘on the tools’ and having this intricate understanding is a key factor in the client's decision-making process.

Our client would particularly like to hear from Individuals who hold approx1-2 years of Estimating experience and are seeking to grow their skills within an award-winning business.

Our client will offer training, coaching, and mentorship to individuals keen to progress and develop their skills under the guidance of an experienced and robust estimating and senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates across a range of M&E projects
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial cost control throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and assist in selecting contractors and suppliers
• Review, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contracts to identify potential risks and opportunities
• Produce regular financial reports, including cost forecasts and budget variances, to provide insights to project stakeholders
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and deliverables are aligned
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures and value engineering solutions without compromising quality
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, contracts, and project documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 1-4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator focusing on M&E systems and working with M&E contractors
• Proficient in using industry-standard software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing cost estimates and financial reports
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively

This is a hybrid role with some office work, which will be based out of Paddington, London.

Salary will be based on experience.
