Job Description

We are looking for an M&E Engineer to support the facilities team in managing all mechanical and electrical aspects of the site. This role involves assisting with project management, maintenance oversight, and ensuring that all building systems operate reliably and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Management: Assist in overseeing the operation and maintenance of all M&E systems, including HVAC (CRAC, chillers, DX cooling), electrical distribution (UPS, PDU, generators), and fire/life safety systems.
  • Project Support: Provide technical assistance to the project management team for ad-hoc minor projects, renovations, or fit-outs.
  • Vendor Coordination: Support in managing contractor performance, tracking work order completion, and ensuring compliance with SLAs and safety standards (PTW, JHA).
  • Technical Assurance: Review maintenance reports, conduct spot checks, and assist in ensuring all statutory inspections and certifications are up to date.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities to improve system efficiency, reduce costs (e.g., energy saving initiatives), and enhance operational standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and equipment logs. Support the preparation of reports for management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering, preferably within a critical facility, data centre, or large commercial/industrial complex.
  • Skills: Hands-on knowledge of M&E building systems. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills for coordinating with vendors and clients.
