The NPI Project Manager is responsible for full-scale industrialization process of new Product, from R&D through to mass production delivery.
Meet TTM (Time To Market), OTD (On Time Delivery) and PCO-MT target as core KPIs, leads new product trail runs, process validation, quality control, and production ramp-up, ensuring new products are introduced to mass production quickly, stably, and with high quality.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop New Product Industrialization plans, defining objective, timelines, risks and criterias for each key phase, organize kick-off and SE meetings incl.cross-functional, eg. R&D, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, controlling and quality.
Lead the development of process design for new products, evaluating the feasiblity of key process incl. SMT, pre-assy and FA, Testing.
Develop and optimize production processes for new products, establishing PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Charts and Working Instructions.
Lead Tech problem solving during trail run phase, use 8D, 5Why, etc tools to analysis root cause nad push improvement, to avoid delivery risks.
As contact window to purchasing and logistic team, lead trail run material plan and tracking, ensure key materials no shortage.
Set up warning system for long time delivery materials, pull in material to ensure TTM and OTD targets.
Lead new product from trail run to SOP, ensure all test spec, WIs, parameters all complete and handover to mass production value stream.
Setup ramp up plan and tracking FOR performance from small series, and push for process improvement, cost reduction and continuous delivery.
3+ years automotive or related NPI project management experience, with ECU product SOP experience will be preferred. Self-handle at least 2 projects in past.
Expert with project management tools (eg. project charter, Project management plan, risk management, etc), with PMP certification is preferred.
Deep in process knowhow, eg. SMT, S.S, Coating, Milling, flash, FCT, EOL, Dispense, screw, etc.
Good communication skills with cross functions. Good project summary capability and escalation.
