Job Description

Responsibilities

• Deploy the selected MDM platform on the agreed GCP footprint (GKE/Compute Engine with Cloud SQL or BigQuery persistence), with the DataOps Engineer.
• Configure domain models, match rules, survivorship rules and merge/unmerge behaviour; iterate thresholds against real data until match quality targets are met.
• Build the source-to-MDM ingestion and the cross-reference structures keyed back to each source system.
• Implement the steward review queue, task routing and audit trail.
• Implement reference data structures with versioning and change approval.
• Build publication views and the golden-key join applied at silver, with the Data Engineers.
• Register the MDM model and its lineage into Dataplex.
• Build MDM monitoring: match rate, duplicate rate, steward backlog, throughput.
• Produce the MDM runbook and support KT.

Required skills and experience

• 4+ years implementing MDM platforms hands-on (configuration and development, not solely administration).
• Certified or demonstrably experienced on the selected product.
• Strong SQL; Java or Python depending on the platform's extension model.
• API integration patterns for publishing mastered data to consuming systems.
• Performance tuning of match jobs at multi-million-record scale

Certifications

• Required: Vendor certification on the selected MDM product
