Due to continued growth, Boswell Engineering is adding additional experienced Project Managers with electric utilities PM experience in the MD/ Northern VA area to support our existing Team. If you are an experienced Project Manager in transmission, substation, distribution or datacenter projects, we want to explore career options with you. Please note that these roles are not Agile, Waterfall or SCRUM PM-related roles.
Responsibilities:
- Project managers will be assigned projects that range from replacing a breaker at a substation to an entirely new substation and/or transmission line upgrades
- Typical substation projects may be breaker replacement, cap bank heaters, bus work, transformer replacement, control house rehab or replacement, extending a substation yard, or a new substation
- Typical transmission line projects may be replacing insulators, replacing the OPGW, adding circuits, or a new transmission line
- Project managers may also be assigned transmission line routing studies
- The client will provide all of the necessary training for both the project management system that is utilized and all of the mandated client safety training and FERC training
- Project managers shall attend meetings at the client’s Morristown office
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
- Site and Office Meetings as needed for Project oversight and client engagement

Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical or other Engineering is highly preferred
- Formal project management (PMP) training and/ or Certification
- At least five (5) years of project management experience over major capital electric utilities construction projects (substation, transmission and/ or distribution)
- Telecommunications Project Management experience is welcome if this includes managing/ overseeing major electric utility projects involving substation and/ or transmission line projects.

The salary-exempt range below is applicable for the job and location associated with this position. Compensation will vary based on specific relevant experience, education, certifications, skills level, geographic location and other compensable factors.
