Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a skilled, compassionate Psychiatrist—full‑time or part‑time—to join our Adult Intensive Services (AIS) Medical Team and deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to adults with complex needs. In this collaborative role, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care for individuals experiencing severe mental illness, cognitive disorders, and those receiving involuntary treatment, while working closely with a multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Patient Care Coordinators. This position offers meaningful opportunities to teach and mentor psychiatric fellows, residents, nurse practitioner students, medical students, and nurses, with optional supplemental pay for Crisis Stabilization Unit coverage and additional educational involvement. The ideal candidate is a self‑directed clinician who leads with integrity and humility, is passionate about serving underserved populations, and who finds purpose in team‑based problem solving and providing expert care during moments of crisis. If you are driven to make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing mental health challenges, we invite you to join our mission‑focused team.
Schedule. This position follows either a 5×8 work schedule (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm) or a 4×10 schedule, with a hybrid work arrangement. While there is flexibility to work from home, onsite presence is essential when patient care needs or clinical responsibilities require it.
Flexibility is key. The Psychiatrist is expected to be in the office when patients request or require in‑person appointments. When in‑person care is not clinically indicated, the Psychiatrist may choose to work remotely or onsite. In general, in‑office care is preferred for patients receiving involuntary treatment, those prescribed controlled substances, and individuals with severe mental illness.
Salary for this role.
Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of licensure and company equity.
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and candidate's fluency.
