About the role

We are seeking experienced Underground Charge-Up Operators to join our Perth-based Underground Mining Services team, supporting a number of operations across the region.

These positions operate on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, with site accommodation and meals provided while rostered on.

As part of a high-performing team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and high-quality blasting services to our customers. Working closely with Underground Shotfirers and Operators, you will support all aspects of the charging process, including loading, tying and firing blasts in accordance with drill and blast designs.

Beyond day-to-day operations, you will contribute to crew leadership, mentoring new team members and supporting the successful delivery of complex blasting activities when required.

What you will be doing

  • Demonstrating and championing our core value: Safety is our Priority, Always.
  • Carrying out charge-up activities, including magazine management, loading, tying and firing blasts.
  • Following drill and blast plans to ensure safe and effective execution.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to blast crew members.
  • Supporting the training and development of new team members.
  • Working collaboratively with site teams to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
  • Acting with integrity, professionalism and respect at all times.

What you will bring

  • A positive, team-oriented approach to work.
  • Current or recent Australian Shotfirer's Licence (preferred).
  • Minimum 12 months' experience working within an underground charge-up crew.
  • Strong safety focus and commitment to safe work practices.
  • The ability to work effectively in remote underground mining environments.
