Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX.

Requisition Summary

The Inventory Control Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring all Dynacraft inventory standards are consistently met. This role involves upholding and promoting PACCAR and Dynacraft values and mission while maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, and procedural standards across all inventory operations. The manager will oversee daily inventory control activities, lead production schedulers, manage team deployment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires effective communication across departments, leadership in training and development, and thorough incident investigation and resolution. This role is based in Louisville, Kentucky, for the evening shift

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and assess their potential impact on operations.
  • Identify issues and develop interdepartmental strategies for ECN implementation.
  • Track project implementation status, including plant and supplier inventory levels, PPAP status, tooling status, and other critical data.
  • Direct the materials organization toward achieving project implementation objectives.
  • Analyze overall project impact on materials; communicate relevant information regarding lead times, inventory, costs, and financial risks to Change Control and Materials management.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Division Materials, Corporate Quality, Corporate Purchasing, suppliers, and plants to ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Coordinate and process the disposition of obsolete materials related to ECN implementation.
  • Create reports and develop scripts as required to support project tracking and communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and via phone/email.
  • Occasional lifting of materials or documents (up to 20 lbs) may be required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, which may require extended hours or flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to a consistently changing and evolving environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong negotiation skills, including conflict management and resolution.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and clearly communicate technical information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in materials or manufacturing support required

Education

  • Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
