About the role
OurLarge CorrectiveSupervisorperformall operation of our specializedLiftraequipment, including the replacement of major wind turbine components such as blades, gearboxes, generators, pitchbearingsand hubs.
Core responsibilities include:
- ManageLiftraexchange team onsite including leads and technicians
- Schedule daily tasks and milestones ofcomponentexchange team
- Interface with the onsite customer and uphold United Renewables standards
- Prepare daily documentation,safety,and reporting needs, oversee Lead and Techniciansin preparing safety documentation and reports
- Perform heavy rigging operations tofacilitatereplacement of wind turbine components
- Supervisor and co-ordinate mobilization ofLiftraequipmentand toolingasrequired
- Train and instruct other technicians in how to correctly operateLiftraequipmentand the turbine
- Proper isolation of energyutilizingUnited’s policy and procedures – oversee and train the Lead and Technicians in proper isolation of energy (LOTO)
- PossessLiftraLT1000 and/or LT1200operators’certificate(s)
- Comply withall company and government safety regulations and guidelines
- Leadon-the-job training with on-site personnel
- Reports toVice President - Operations
- Complete all company required training in a satisfactory manner andtimeframe
- Travel asrequired(4-6 weeksat a time)
Qualifications
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old and capable of climbing to and working at heights of 300 feet or more.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED – preferably from a technical school
Experience
- At least5-10years of experience in wind turbine maintenance/operations – preferably in majorcomponentexchange
- Familiarity with heavy rigging preferred
- Mustpossessa valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and proof of insurance coverage
- Must be able to pass core safety, climbing and other required training courses
- Valid current state license without restrictions
- No license suspension or restrictions within previous 3 years
- No DWI/DWA/OWI/OUI etc. within previous 5 years
- No more than 3 points on the motor vehicle report within the previous 3 years
- Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Full English languageproficiency
