Job Description

Qube Energy is seeking experienced MC Truck Drivers to join our team based at Perth Airport, WA 6105. This is a full-time opportunity for a safety-focused and reliable driver with proven experience in the transport and logistics industry, undertaking both long-haul and/or local freight transportation.

This position involves the operation of heavy vehicles across metropolitan and/or regional areas. The role may require early morning starts, extended driving periods, overnight travel, and adherence to rostered schedules in accordance with fatigue management requirements.

Working as part of a professional transport team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy vehicles while ensuring full compliance with Australian road transport legislation and company procedures.

About the Role

As a Truck Driver with Qube Energy, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating MC heavy vehicles safely and efficiently to transport freight and equipment across metropolitan and regional locations.
  • Conducting pre-start, in-service, and post-operational inspections of vehicles and trailers.
  • Reporting vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, incidents, and safety hazards.
  • Ensuring freight is loaded, secured, and transported in accordance with load restraint guidelines and axle weight requirements.
  • Complying with fatigue management requirements, work diary obligations, speed limits, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation.
  • Transporting dangerous goods where required and authorised, in accordance with relevant legislation and company procedures.
  • Completing transport documentation accurately, including delivery dockets, manifests, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness, security, and serviceability of vehicles and equipment under your control.
  • Communicating professionally with customers, contractors, dispatch personnel, and colleagues.
  • Assisting with operational activities and supporting safe and efficient transport operations.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate II or higher, or at least 12 months of relevant experience.
  • A current MC (Multi Combination) Heavy Vehicle Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience undertaking long-haul and/or local freight transportation.
  • Proven experience operating heavy vehicles in compliance with Australian road transport legislation, fatigue management requirements, load restraint standards, axle weight regulations, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections and reporting defects or maintenance issues.
  • Experience completing transport documentation accurately and maintaining compliance records.
  • A strong safety focus and commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The following will be highly regarded:

  • Dangerous Goods licence and experience transporting dangerous goods.
  • Experience operating in remote or regional environments.
