Life Enrichment Coordinator

Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance the quality of life for our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for senior care, a background in gerontology, and experience in recreational therapy to create a vibrant and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and evaluate a diverse calendar of recreational and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities

- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes socialization, mental stimulation, and physical activity

- Collaborate with staff, residents, and families to identify individual needs and preferences

- Monitor and document residents’ participation and progress in enrichment programs

- Ensure activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements

- Stay informed about best practices in gerontology and recreational therapy to continually improve program offerings

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in senior living, recreational therapy, or related fields

- Knowledge of gerontology and dementia care preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to plan, organize, and lead engaging activities for diverse groups

- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents’ needs

- Certification or training in recreational therapy or related disciplines is a plus
