What You'll Do
Memory Care Caregivers provide direct support and assistance to residents while promoting safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning
- Assist with meal service, dining support, and hydration needs
- Monitor residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement opportunities
- Assist residents with appointments, activities, and community participation
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized service plans
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and emergency procedures
- Support a calm, welcoming, and resident-centered environment
QualificationsWhat You Bring
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with older adults preferred, but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively and document care accurately
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required or ability to obtain within required timeframe
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
