The Maturity Support Specialist role is a permanent, year-round opportunity that plays a critical part in supporting our world-class Maturity Clearance System (MCS). This is a varied role that blends customer support, operational coordination, systems troubleshooting, stakeholder relationship management, and continuous improvement. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, helping ensure smooth clearance processes and exceptional support for growers, postharvest, and internal teams during the maturity season, while also contributing through system support, testing, documentation, and broader team support in the off-season.

This is a permanent role, working a 37.5 hour week. You will be on a rotating roster with early, day and late shifts (6:45am–6:00pm), including 1 weekend day.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide first-line support for growers, postharvest, and internal users by resolving queries, troubleshooting issues, and escalating where needed
  • Support the effective operation of the Maturity Clearance System and associated clearance processes, including user support, training, testing, and documentation updates
  • Build strong working relationships with growers, postharvest partners, labs, and internal teams to deliver great service and clear communication
  • Coordinate and support key maturity and sampling programmes, helping ensure seasonal activities run smoothly and accurately
  • Contribute year-round by supporting off-season priorities across system support, process improvement, testing, and wider team initiatives

You’ll be a proactive, customer-focused professional who enjoys solving problems, building strong relationships, and working accurately in a fast-paced environment. This role could suit someone from a customer service, operations support, horticulture, logistics, or industry coordination background. To succeed, you’ll bring a great mix of initiative, sound judgement, attention to detail, and confidence working with systems and a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • A strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong organisation skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities during seasonal peaks
  • Confidence using systems and technology, with solid computer skills across tools such as Word, Excel, and CRM platforms
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving ability, and confidence triaging issues and knowing when to escalate
  • Kiwifruit industry knowledge and customer service experience are advantageous, but not essential if you bring strong transferable capability
