Our department is at the forefront of mathematics development within Southampton, with strong partnerships including the AMSP, Maths Hubs and local universities. We actively encourage staff to engage with current research, refine their pedagogy, and experiment thoughtfully in their teaching.
We are proud to have an NCETM-accredited Maths Hubs Secondary Mathematics Specialist and an experienced Lead Practitioner within the team, providing high-quality coaching, collaborative development, and structured support for colleagues at every stage of their career.
This role provides the chance to inspire students, contribute to a strong and collaborative team, and develop your professional practice within a dynamic and inclusive school community. With a focus on high-quality teaching, curriculum innovation, and strong relationships, you will play a key part in helping our students develop confidence and ambition in mathematics.
About the Role
As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 depending on experience). You will join a supportive department committed to raising achievement, shaping an ambitious curriculum, and developing a positive culture of learning.
