Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Schedule 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM ​ Monday - Thursday with rotation on Fridays. This also pends schedule for satellite office. Proposed having MFM US available at satellite office 1-2 days per week.

Pay Range:

$35.50 - $53.25

Perinatal Sonographer

A maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) sonographer performs targeted, advanced diagnostic imaging on patients with complicated or high-risk pregnancies. The MFM sonographer specializes in detecting fetal abnormalities, monitoring maternal health complications, and collaborating closely with the MFM physicians to guide complex clinical decisions. While maintaining a high standard of patient care and under indirect supervision, the MFM sonographer performs consistently accurate and high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. The MFM sonographer prepares preliminary findings for the MFM physician and is responsible for notifying the physician when a life-threatening problem is found. In addition, the MFM sonographer understands and demonstrates appropriate customer service behaviors in the performance of job duties while working in a team environment. The MFM sonographer is knowledgeable in different types of ultrasound exams and has the ability to review medical records to determine what types of exams are indicated based on patient's history, while exercising independent judgement when interpreting certain exams. Examples of exams that MFM sonographers perform include: Level 2 detailed fetal anatomy ultrasound, Structural fetal echocardiogram, Transvaginal ultrasound, Umbilical artery Dopplers, Middle cerebral artery Dopplers, Ductus venosus Dopplers, Biophysical profiles, Amniocentesis, etc.
Requirements: Graduate from AMA approved school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
ARDMS registered in OB/GYN OR registry eligible. If not registered, must successfully obtain ARDMS OB/GYN registry within 1 year of employment date.
