Our well-established Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic currently provides fetal assessment and surveillance for high-risk pregnancies within our hospital catchment area. This MFM clinic is a 2-room, Monday-Friday ultrasound unit supported by 2 full-time, dedicated, experienced sonographers and one full-time Maternal Fetal Medicine physician. We are seeking to expand this fetal assessment unit to 3 full-time rooms. We also have the opportunity to provide full obstetrical care for some of our higher-risk patients. The program also includes a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, including an on-site Level 2C NICU, antenatal neonatal clinic, pediatric cardiology clinic, obstetric medicine clinic, and prenatal genetic services. Ultimately, this is where you want to be.Position OverviewMackenzie Health is currently recruiting an RCPSC-certified Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Specialist for a 1.0 FTE opportunity to support the continued growth of our MFM program. The successful physician will participate in the departmental call roster, co-manage the busy MFM clinic and antepartum unit, and have access to state-of-the-art equipment across both hospital sites. The clinic operates Monday to Friday and provides timely access to amniocentesis and fetal echocardiography on-site to support diagnosis, consultation and management. The MFM Specialist will provide consultation services at Mackenzie Health in support of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.Qualifications:The Physician must possess the following competencies:
