
The University of Chicago's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. The appointees will contribute to all clinical aspects of the multidisciplinary Obgyn Ultrasound Unit, Obgyn Genetics program, and the Fetal Neonatal Care Center, including the evaluation and management of prenatal patients with fetal anomalies, inpatient, and outpatient care, and a productive clinical portfolio. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
We are an academic section with a high outpatient obstetrical volume, consultation service, and a large ultrasound unit with a fetal center, in addition to being a tertiary referral center for surrounding hospitals through our perinatal network. Other features of our program include strong Obgyn ultrasound and fetal care research, a placenta center, obstetrical quality, an OB anesthesia program, as well as our state of art Labor and Delivery unit.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an accredited residency in OB/GYN, 4) have completed an accredited fellowship in MFM, or have equivalent experience, and 5) be eligible or board certified in MFM by ABOG or medical genetics by ABMGG.
