The Stager/Packer is responsible for preparing, staging, and packaging products for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures that orders are accurate, properly packed, labeled, and ready for on-time delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards
Responsibilities
• Adheres to Viant Core Values and all safety environmental, security, and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management System (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
• Pick, stage, and organize items for outgoing shipments based on order requirements.
• Pack products securely using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
• Verify order accuracy (quantities, item numbers, and specifications).
• Label packages correctly and ensure compliance with shipping procedures.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, shrink wrap machines).
• Maintain clean and organized staging and packing areas.
• Assist with loading shipments onto trucks as needed.
• Follow company safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Report damaged items, discrepancies, or inventory issues to supervisors.
• Meet daily productivity and quality targets.
• Prints pick slips, pack slips, and other shipping documentation.
• Arrange carrier pick-ups.
• Sustain 5S of shipping / receiving area.
• Performs inventory movements and transacts accurately in the system.
• Understand lot control procedure inventory accuracy.
• Performs Cycle Counts and physical inventories as required. Processes inventory shipments. to customers or internal Viant locations.
• Organized the boxes for the week, tagged and stored the boxes. Understand how to read the shop traveler.
• Having knowledge of customer shipping specs.
• Knowledge of what shipping methods are to use to ensure packaging is correct.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
• 1+ years of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing facility in a material handler, or packaging role.
Skills/Competencies
• Detail-oriented with an ability to solve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine set-up and operations
• Ability to work with all levels of management.

Physical Requirements
• Light physical activity performing non-strenuous day-to-day activities of an administrative nature.
• Minimal lifting (75 lbs.), carrying, bending, pushing/pulling, crawling, climbing, balancing, and prolonged standing.
• Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach and handle items.
• Requires the ability to identify and distinguish colors, judge distance and space relationships (i.e. visualize objects of multiple dimensions), and adjust the lens of the eye to bring an object into sharp focus (microscope, etc.).
