The Materials Technician fills multiple roles for the organization by performing duties such as shipping and receiving functions and maintaining PAR-level supplies by replenishing and delivering medical supplies to all assigned units. Loads, transports and delivers medical supplies to the hospital and off-site campuses of Marshall Medical Center (MMC) as needed. Assists in putting stock away that is accepted throughout the day from receiving. Participates in periodic inventories and performs cycle counts and inventory maintenance, investigates and corrects inventory discrepancies and ensures that all paperwork is executed properly. Locates, delivers and monitors the usage of all rental and hospital equipment as necessary and processes department returns of stock items and expired products. Processes and prepares materials, correspondence and equipment from the entire MMC system for delivery service vendors to ensure the timely exchange of information and/or products. Fulfills copy requests by printing and preparing copies for delivery. Prepares, sorts and delivers both interoffice and U.S. postal mail. Helps maintain copy machines, equipment and supplies. This position maintains a neat, orderly and clean warehouse and area for medical supplies and pulls medical records upon request. Assists in maintaining department vehicles.
