The Materials and Supply Chain Leader is responsible for ensuring production and distribution materials availability, inbound/outbound logistics functions, maintenance and data quality of replenishment system, and for vendor relationships plus their related contractual agreements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating processes for ensuring timely material availability which includes management of vendor calls, addressing systemic past due PO issues, tracking of vendor OTD, and tracking of vendor contracts. Supporting the site customer OTD metric of 95% and ensuring no production downtime due to material delays.

  • Ensuring data integrity of our materials system and timely updates when there are changes to daily demand, lead time, MOQ, and safety stock.

  • Drive Root Cause Counter Measures (RCCM) with the team for issues that prohibit meeting key performance indicators – Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP). Must have the ability to develop additional metrics as needed to improve and manage distribution processes.

  • Responsible for ensuring timely forecasting to vendors as well as taking direct ownership of 20 key vendors.

  • Ensuring logistics team is meeting productivity and inventory control objectives while delivering to our customers within our 24–48-hour LT’s.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment by leading and overseeing Supply Chain and Logistics operations to ensure timely material availability and uninterrupted support of production and customer demand.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 4 years’ experience in manufacturing purchasing role with direct supervision or 8-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing purchasing role with direct supervision
  • 2+ years of experience using an SAP
  • 2+ years of experience managing/leading projects
  • 2+ years’ experience in root cause analysis and implementing sustainable processes utilizing lean tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem solving capabilities and experience with lean / continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others including peers and direct reports
  • Ability to see the big picture
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate work accordingly in a fast –paced environment
  • Able to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed organization
  • Strong communication skills

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
