What You’ll Do

Your future starts here! A Materials Supervisor in Training at Royal leads and supports our shipping and receiving teams across the plant. We are looking for people who have a supervisory background in addition to experience in shipping and receiving. Hilo driving experience is essential for this position. This role is open to build our bench strength of Supervisors in Hudsonville. You will work out of our Quincy or Corporate Grove facility in Hudsonville and report directly to the Materials Manager.

The position will train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks before moving to 2nd and/or 3rd shift for additional training. Approximately the first 12 months of this role will consist of training in the various roles and processes before you will independently take on the role of leading your team. Because this position is intended to build our bench strength, you must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift to be considered.

• 1st: 8am-4pm

• 2nd: 4pm-12am

• 3rd: 12am-8am

Responsibilities:

• Lead a small team in the execution of outgoing and incoming shipments

• Inventory control

• A regular focus on Continuous improvement

• Daily utilization of ERP system (Syteline), scanners and other technology related products

• Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities within the shipping and receiving teams

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience

  • Experience must include shipping and receiving (hilo driving)

• Current or previous supervisory experience and/or strong leadership skills

• Previous experience working with material systems (ie. ERP systems)

  • Syteline experience is a plus

• Willing and able to work overtime (45-50 hours/week)

• Excellent attendance
