Join our Team: Material Returns Coordinator

Location: Omagh

Hours: 39.75 Hour Week

Join our team at Terex Omagh and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a Material Returns Coordinator.

The Material Returns Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining quality standards throughout our supply chain to ensure our products meet or exceed customer expectations. The role will focus on the processing of non-conforming components for return to suppliers for investigation and resolution, building supplier relations and embedding a quality culture of ‘right first time.’ The Material Returns Coordinator will work closely with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and production to ensure key quality processes are implemented and maintained in support of serial production supply.


What you’ll do:

  • Manage the process of returning non-conforming parts to suppliers for investigation/repair/replacement/cost recovery.
  • Maintain accurate data logging in support of the materials return process.
  • Raising of supplier reject notes for non-conformances and trending recurring issues.
  • Complete follow up investigations with suppliers on rejected items.
  • Supplier performance monitoring through materials return process – track, analyse and report on supplier quality metrics to drive improvements in product quality and overall supplier performance.
  • Assist with supplier performance reviews and supplier improvement plans from a MRB perspective.
  • Creating and reporting of MRB statistics.
  • Promote the Terex Omagh quality standard ethos of Zero Defects – don’t accept, don’t make, don’t pass on.
  • Promote the principles of Total Quality Management throughout our supply base.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S and process standardisation.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as per business/department requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment covering both fabrication and assembly disciplines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to develop relationships across levels, geographies and segments.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate records in the management of non-conforming goods return.
  • Ability to create accurate documentation for the purposes of highlighting non-conformances to suppliers.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and problem-solving techniques utilized throughout the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers.
  • Experience of hydraulic and electrical components.
