Job Title: Materials Requirement Planner

Department: Supply Chain Management

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

FLSA status: Exempt

Coordinates and expedites the flow of materials, part, and assemblies from suppliers to Inalfa and onto department areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reviews production schedules (MPS) and related information to determine material requirements (MRP)
  • Sends releases to schedule materials from suppliers weekly or daily
  • Communicates materials concerns to suppliers
  • Expedites materials as necessary
  • Verifies receiving input
  • Experience with Lean initiatives and processes
  • Lends input and involvement in the overall logistics strategy of Inalfa Roof Systems
  • Manages freight coordination with supply base to budget
  • Manages inventory levels to budgeted inventory turns
  • Experience in ERP systems
  • Domestic & International freight coordination
  • Customer Service experience
  • Inventory control & cycle count experience
  • Report out at meetings on expedites, customer concerns, missed shipments and other related material concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or equivalent; and 2 to 5 years of automotive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
