Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety and quality procedures and observe the operations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Ensuring the compliance of “Food Product Safety” & “Product Quality” of the molded product, to meet the expectation of our customers.
  • Follow all safety procedure, Food safety programs and GMPs.
  • Manages the purchasing of raw material and packing materials for operations.
  • Contact vendors to order supplies and ensure material required for a job will arrive on time and when needed
  • Handle any potential delivery issues, including finding other options to get the job done on time.
  • Communicate with other departments to provide status of materials being shipped to the site.
  • Track and communicate status of overdue materials; seek out substitutions when needed.
  • Work with warehouse team to conduct the inventory counts to ensure that all inventory is properly recorded in SAP system.
  • Ensure inventory is accurate and organize at all items by maintaining inventory levels, supervising physical counts and updating adjustments according to policies.
  • Participates in vendor selection and purchasing of the most critical items.
  • Oversee the maintenance of records of purchasing, delivery dates, vendors, cost and other resources.
  • Support production Planner/Warehouse manager and production system set up on SAP.
  • Creates require reports to Corporate, i.e. Packaging, Resin inventory, SLOB, inventory, etc.
  • Creates requisitions.
  • Create and adjust Purchase Orders as needed.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets report such as resin, supplies spending, inventory, raw material, requisitions, purchasing orders, etc.
  • Manage the movement of raw materials and work in process materials from point of origin to point of consumption
  • Develop and maintain supplier performance measures
  • Participate in and provide data for evaluation of supplier service performance and work with sourcing and suppliers to improve performance
  • Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
  • Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
  • Responsible for the administration of procurement activities and day-to-day supplier management for assigned commodities and products
  • Understands and follows Hazard Materials Regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and four years of experience preferably in Supply Chain or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of four years of procurement, inventory, production planning/scheduling, expediting or related experience
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Solid detail orientation and high organizational skills. Ability to manage several production lines at the same time
  • Must have strong communications skills to manage vendor relations as well as internal customers.
  • Strong computer skills required
  • SAP experience preferred related to planning, scheduling and order management transactions
  • Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude, skills in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent at managing data at a detailed level
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a busy environment.
  • Must be solutions and process-oriented team player, working to help improve the processes.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing activities including purchasing materials, inventory, quality engineering basics and production processes

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
