Job Description

If you are a Materials Planner professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within Emerson’s Supply Chain and Materials Planning team. In this position, you will support reliable production and customer fulfillment by ensuring the timely availability of materials while balancing inventory optimization and working capital efficiency. You will collaborate across functions and with external partners, using data, planning systems, and continuous improvement practices to enable operational excellence in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Create, review, and release purchase orders through the ERP systems in alignment with demand forecasts and planning parameters.

  • Partner closely with suppliers through regular communication to confirm delivery commitments, address potential supply risks, and resolve quality or delivery issues proactively.

  • Manage order expediting and postponement activities to respond effectively to changes in demand, supply constraints, and inventory targets.

  • Prepare and maintain operational and management reports by extracting, analyzing, and presenting data from ERP systems and analytical tools.

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels and material movements to support service level targets, cost efficiency, and working capital optimization.

  • Apply structured materials planning and inventory management principles to support stable supply, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

  • Support additional initiatives, analyses, and projects as assigned to advance team and business objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in materials planning, supply chain, or operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Hands‑on experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle to support planning, purchasing, and inventory activities.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Apps.
  • Practical knowledge of inventory and supply chain optimization techniques, including safety stock concepts, reorder point planning, and inventory segmentation.
  • Practical experience with inventory management frameworks such as Demand Driven MRP (DDMRP), Just‑In‑Time (JIT), and Vendor‑Managed Inventory (VMI).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including the ability to prepare clear, structured presentations for planning and management reviews.
  • Professional proficiency in English for written and verbal communication; additional language skills are an advantage.
