Your Opportunity


Queensland Rail are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our SEQ Supply Chain teams as a Materials Officer at our Hendra depot on a fixed term contract until 31st July 2026.

As a Materials Officer you will be responsible for providing a wide range of support services to trade staff by facilitating the ordering and supply of components, cyclic stocktaking, goods receipting, picking and packing of orders and general warehousing activities, to contribute to the efficient running of the SEQ operations and facilities. This role will interact with various levels of employees and management and will work to strict time frames to ensure that business needs are met.

The team typically work between the hours of 0600 - 1600 Monday to Friday across a standard 38 hour week, however we are seeking candidates who have flexibility to also work additional hours where required.

About you:

  • Must have current Forklift licence.
  • Must own reliable vehicle transport.
  • Yellow Card - Class VF desired.
  • Be flexible with work hours.
  • Have systems-based skills, preferably having used SAP system or similar software.
  • Experience working in a distribution centre or maintenance facility and working to tight timeframes.
  • Be able to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Ability to work within a team and also work independently.
