Ensure the effective execution of production planning and purchasing activities by providing strategic direction, coaching, and timely support, while serving as a key escalation point for the team. Oversee strategies to improve on-time material arrival and MRP exception message execution by developing metrics and providing regular feedback to the team. Lead the team in building best-practices culture grounded in PBM principles and promote continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, tools, and experience across the area.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the production planning and purchasing teams by providing strategic direction, coaching, feedback, workload prioritization, and timely support to ensure effective daily execution.
  • Own materials planning, purchasing execution, and MRP discipline to ensure the right materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the appropriate cost to support production requirements.
  • Partner with operations, business units, Network Planners, and Inventory Planners to align demand, supply, inventory strategies, and production attainment plans through the GSOP process.
  • Improve on-time material availability by monitoring demand changes, customer behavior, manufacturing orders, supplier commitments, and MRP exception messages, while providing visibility and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead inventory reduction strategies, including slow-moving and excess material management, while maintaining production continuity and supporting working-capital objectives.
  • Develop and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies in coordination with the Purchasing Supervisor and Sourcing Manager, with focus on supplier performance, delivery reliability, cost, quality, and contract compliance.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, finance, logistics, and warehouse teams to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, receiving, storage, and overall supply chain performance.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience (At least 5 years managing people).
  • Proven work experience on demand management, planning / purchasing areas, and leading teams.
  • Proven ability to use problem solving such as 5 whys, Ishikawa, PDCA, Kaizen methodologies and lean manufacturing.
  • Good understanding of the supply chain & ERP
  • High ERP usage level, process. (SAP is a plus)
  • Proven ability on different planning environment (MTS, MTO, MTF, etc).
