RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continuously drives Inventory Turns performance and Customer (OTR) Performance to meet Laird/PBU goals.
  • Implement SC processes and best practices to deliver excellent customer service and minimize logistics cost.
  • Supports and executes standard SC Planning processes within ERP and SC tool environment that includes Demand planning, sourcing/procurement, capacity planning, and asset utilization.
  • Maintains Customer Consignment Inventory/I-Hubs levels to goal and Internal Finished Goods to target levels.
  • Monitors demand horizon and escalate risks of supply/demand mismatch
  • Develop and implement a strategic order receipt / entry / commitment process.
  • Integrate process, policies, and procedures. Initiates actions to improve processes.
  • Implement processes and procedures to ensure supply chain data accuracy and integrity.
  • Leadership and development of people resources.
  • Communicate with sales for forecasting, changes, and potential for ‘drop-in’ demand.
  • Oversee all production scheduling to ensure schedules are in line with orders and forecasts, production capacities, and corporate objectives. Coordinate / collaborate planning and supply with sister divisions.
  • Communicate with production to ensure the materials department has accurate production related information.
  • Align and support departmental and company goals for which the Materials department has a responsibility.
  • Interface, develop material plan, and coordinate weekly planning meetings to meet corporate objectives.
  • Manage manufacturing orders as necessary by monitoring system inquiries and new engineering change orders.
  • Quote lead times to the sales Coordinators for requested delivery times for product not in stock.
  • Generate rework-manufacturing orders based on dispositional Reject Reports or RMAs.
  • Manage delivery of critical component parts and product delivery with suppliers and contract manufacturing and critical supply partners to meet customer requirements. Detect and manage customer delivery risk, work to resolve constraints, and escalate
  • Adheres to quality, safety, health and environmental systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS / WORK SKILLS

  • Strong team collaboration skills
    Solid knowledge and application of ERP planning and purchasing module utilization.
  • Good organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must have complete understanding and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • BS or BA degree required. MBA preferred
  • 5 years of experience in similar positions
  • Willingness and capability to be CPIM/APICS within 18 months of acceptance of job position
