
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for materials management from receipt through to delivery. This includes functions or receiving, warehousing, delivery and inventory control.
2. Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure the appropriate amount of inventory is available for production at all times.
3. Develop and implement warehousing strategies to ensure adequate space is available and inventory is accurately managed and can be safely stored and delivered.
4. Develop, implement, and maintain material processes that utilize visual management principles to assure cost effective and timely flow of material and products to customers.
5. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
6. Understand. Create. Simplify.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory management or production control
4 year degree in business, engineering, or materials management or equivalent experience
ERP experience in a production planning and scheduling role
Capacity planning and analysis experience
Materials receiving, warehousing, and logistics experience
Experience with MRP systems
Advanced computer skills
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
APICS CPIM certification
Experience with World Class Manufacturing concepts
Certification in supply chain management
Demonstrated lean and continuous improvement experience
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX
