Materials Manager

Manages and oversees the materials, planning, purchasing and inventory control functions for the Juarez operation. Maintaining a high level of performance supported by continues improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies for the Juarez plant.
  • To ensure that the right materials are available at the right time, in the right quantities, and at the right levels of inventory.
  • To receive and analyze sales forecasts, prepare production plans for the plant and manage the purchasing and inventory plans in accordance with the plant and divisional objectives.
  • Management of Key indicators (Inventory Turns, On Time Delivery, etc) to measure the plant performance against goals.
  • In a support function the incumbent is responsible to aid the business production managers in training and developing specialized materials knowledge and skills in all materials personnel.
  • To comply with ISO 9001-2015 requirements; this applies to all functions in the facility.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA, BSME or equivalent.
  • 10 years’ experience in materials on a manufacturing environment.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of MRPII, JDE and J.I.T. APICS Certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of MS Packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Bilingual English Spanish.
  • Strong Leadership and communication skills.

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
