This role offers a range of $68,000 to $85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

We are seeking a Material Manager to work at one of our facilities. A Material Manager: manages the flow of materials into and out of the plant(s) and associated warehouses; monitors purchasing practices and order management, including vendor consignments; and coordinates with the shipping department to ensure accurate on time receipt and delivery of goods to support plant service levels. They also take ownership of all inventories and related practices by maintaining best practices, leading PI initiatives, and creating awareness across INX International around key metrics to foster improvement. As a Material Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing SAP material master data for completeness and integrity to ensure adherence to INX policy and protocol
  • Managing warehousing standards as established by INX, including external warehousing as required
  • Ensuring the effective execution of material delivery and replenishment strategies to support the master schedule and inventory metric health
  • Supporting Procurement, Planning, Production, R&D, Legal, HR and Quality as needed
  • Addressing all concerns in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, material, equipment, and process
  • Meeting and exceeding warehouse sanitation, 5S and GMP requirements
  • Leading and/or participating on continuous improvement teams as required
  • Recommending improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving corporate and site-specific goals
  • Managing work off and disposals with complete traceability
  • Maintaining steady communication with material vendors and internal stakeholders to best coordinate the flow of materials between sections, departments, or sites
  • Verifying or preparing records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders as required
  • Owning the site(s) MRP process, reporting and inventory practices, including, but not limited to, purchase order mgmt., inventory levels, cycle counts, physical inventories, POV, SLOB, Non/Critical Availability and overall health across the inventory portfolio
  • Committing to participation in the TPM activities of the facility with a clear understanding of all KPI targets for their team, site and department

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar discipline or equivalent on-the-job work experience in materials management
  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes
  • Successful track record of utilizing problem solving methods to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost performance
  • Leadership training or work experience that demonstrates leadership capability in cross-functional teams is a plus
  • Relevant certification in APICS, ISM or equivalent is a plus

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • Previous experience in the ink industry
