Job Description

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Materials Management Receiving Clerk to work with our Storeroom Department.

The incumbent's d uties include, but are not limited to: To receive, process, prepare, and deliver where and when applicable supply items and equipment to nursing units, outpatient services, and offsite locations. Will utilize the hospital supply chain system to perform receiving and supply disbursement and requisition fulfillment functions. Will work to resolve any receiving issues impacting PO payment with our accounts payable team. Will process returns to vendors. All processes will be in accordance with existing hospital standards, guidelines, and policies. May be asked to drive a hospital van or box truck to transport items such as medical records, equipment, and supplies for delivery or storage. Valid Driver’s License is required. DOT Medical Certificate annually for anyone who drives the hospital box truck is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook experience preferred.
  • Capable of long periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs of supplies and equipment at one time; and pull a loaded pallet jack; lift items off of top shelves; stock items on top shelf.
  • Must be able to maneuver heavy loaded carts safely through corridors; use hammers and crowbars to open crates. Must learn how to operate and drive a power hand jack.
