GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of the Materials Manager. The Materials Management Float's primary job function is to fill in for the Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) I, MM Truck Driver, or the Distribution Coordinator. The Float position will fill and distributes departmental orders by retrieving orders on the computer system, pulling items off the shelf and then updating the inventory control computer system. May perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
Licensure:
• BMVL required (Must maintain eligibility to drive as determined by SOMC insurance carriers)
Experience:
• Previous experience in warehouse inventory control preferred.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Assists in stocking inventory as delivered and enters quantities in the computer system.
2. Fills and distributes emergency orders, department orders, and par level replenishment by retrieving them from the system.
3. Performs bi-weekly cycle counts and annual inventories. Researched any discrepancies and reconciles them.
4. Maintains shelf labeling for stocked inventories through perpetual system.
5. Maintains a clean and organized environment regardless of department or role filling in for.
6. Assures all equipment/vehicles are maintained in a safe and proper working condition and alerts manager if something is in need of repair.
7. Cross-trains and fills in for other warehouse personnel as needed.
8. Performs routine preventative maintenance tasks.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
