This Materials Management Advisor reports to the Supply Chain Enterprise Inventory Control Mgmt Manager and can be based at any Refining location. This position will bring a positive attitude and will be highly motivated with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. High work standards and a commitment to Company policies and procedures are core expectations for the candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides day-to-day support and strategic consultation services to stakeholders involved in the warehousing of company owned materials and supplies.
• Champions standardization of warehouse operations workstreams.
• Leads site specific and/or system wide warehousing enhancement projects.
• Serves as warehousing best practices SME to provide guidance to warehouse leaders and other stakeholders for material workflow troubleshooting and efficiencies.
• Assists with SOX control reporting and monitoring as it relates to inventory cycle count completion requirements.
• Provides training and desk-side support, as required, for ERP modules used by Supply Chain employees in the materials management space.
• Authors and maintains Supply Chain materials management procedures, policies, and job aids.
• Actively seeks and identifies opportunities for value creation through enhanced materials management workstreams, procedures, and projects.
• Align with Supply Chain Category Management to define commercial strategies for transportation of Company owned materials and assets.
• Provides data analytics to support commercial initiatives to improve overall financial performance related to transportation costs of both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Identifies strategic opportunities to create value for the Company.
• Works with operational site stakeholders to understand pain points in materials management workstreams and solutions strategies to mitigate gaps and drive best in class processes.
• Collaborates with Master Data and Inventory Control colleagues to identify master data cleansing and enhancement projects that support stakeholder requirements, execute initiatives that are aligned to business objectives and deliver value, analyze material inventories to identify optimization opportunities related to stocking levels and disposition activities, deliver best in class transportation and logistics solutions to meet run the business requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six (6) or more years of Supply Chain or business relevant experience.
