Your Specific Responsibilities:
Evaluate project/process to determine current performance status. Make/recommend improvements to optimize delivery or improve results. Notify stakeholders of any changes to the project/process. Ensure project/process is consistent, predictable and repeatable.
Perform laboratory testing in accordance with the applicable Florida Sampling and Testing Methods (FSTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) or American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) test method. Report results precisely in the appropriate database. Keep all testing equipment calibrated and in good working order. Obtain and maintain all qualifications necessary to perform the test in compliance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) procedures.
Perform analysis of materials data for contract and procedural compliance. Take timely action to correct any errors in the data. Actively facilitate the notification of stakeholders of errors, failures or negative trends.
Provide materials and related technical support to customers as requested. Provide support in time to meet the customers’ needs.
Review Quality Control plans, Construction plans, specifications, procedures and any other documents necessary to execute the Department’s mission. Provide clear comments as requested in time to be useful to the customer.
