Job Summary: The Warehouse Materials Coordinator is responsible for overseeing fire protection equipment and supplies in the warehouse. They track inventory of sprinkler systems, extinguishers, alarms, and other safety gear. This role ensures that the right materials are available and delivered on time for fire safety installations and maintenance jobs. They help keep the warehouse organized and support the company's fire protection services.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the movement of raw materials and parts within the warehouse to ensure a timely delivery to designated destinations.
coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet customer demand.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures to create a safe working environment for all warehouse employees.
Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, shipments, or warehouse operations in a timely manner.
Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met.
Prepare reports and analyze data related to warehouse operations, including inventory levels, productivity metrics, and shipping/receiving performance.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsWhat we are looking for:
High School Diploma / GED is required.
Hazmat Certificate
Forklift training
Experience with material handling & material organization.
Experienced in Microsoft Office & Excel
Strong communication skills
Ability to utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
Ability to properly handle, store, and transport materials.
Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
Physical Requirements
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Capable of standing, walking, bending and kneeling for extended periods
